Christmas tree festival 2019

About 80 people gathered for the opening of the Christmas tree festival and the grand switching on of the tree lights. Much prosecco and mulled wine was consumed, and many mince pies and Christmas tree biscuits eaten!

There were 18 trees in the festival, and along side the many church organisations the local police put up a tree. In fact, the police tree won the most votes and so that organisation gets to choose the charity that half the money raised will go towards.

Over 130 visitors over the 4 days. Many new to the church. We also had some very positive comments from those who stayed to Sunday ToAST for the first time.

The police officers who put up a tree also came to the opening to view the other trees.

Members of Cursillo gather by their tree.

The children from our church school produced some lovely Christmas tree pictures, which were displayed around the church.
